One of the most crucial factors that influence your day-to-day enjoyment from your car is the suspension system. Passive and semi-active suspensions have been tuning and refining suspension systems to achieve an elusive ideal: A perfectly comfortable drive with Formula-One handling. Car makers have not reached this goal yet, although that the latter systems are certainly a distance from the horse-drawn carriage suspension. However the competing goals of comfort and handling have not been reconciled until the fast active AE suspension system.
