Functional Manager. - Chassis Engineering Ford Otosan

Having graduated from Bosphorus University as a Mechanical Engineer, he continued his MSc. studies at the same location as a Research Fellow, dealing with the topic of residual stress minimisation in thermoplastic composite structures, until 2000.

Since then he has been working at Ford Otosan for the last 18 years, last 7 years being the functional manager of Chassis Engineering, responsible for development of chassis controls, suspension, brake, steering, frame, wheel and tyre systems.

His areas of interest include advanced material applications in the field of chassis engineering, vehicle dynamics and active chassis systems. He owns numerous articles and patents in the aforementioned fields. He is married with two children.

Agenda Day 1

3:40 PM Feature/Function Development for Heavy Trucks by Using Semi-Active Air Suspension Systems

  • Fundamentals of air suspension development
  • Semi-active air suspension system development
  • Comparing invariant properties(performance limitations) of semi-active air suspensions and semi-active mechanical suspensions
  • Comparing two state SH, GH, ADD controllers with clipped optimal state feedback LQR
  • Novel State Derivative Feedback LQR vs. Conventional State Feedback LQR
  • Sensor optimization for SH, GH, ADD, Clipped and PDD

Check out the incredible speaker line-up to see who will be joining Ismail Erhan.
